We are currently studying the seashore, so a field trip was necessary...
Samuel has been learning about the distinctive beaks birds have in order to dig in the sand.

Godwit

Plover

So after having breakfast on the beach he spent time feeding the birds and watching the tide go out (seagull and plover in picture).

Birds in the sky, waves breaking on your toes....an experiment he won't forget!

It was definitely a family field trip!
